Pablo Munoz has been involved in academia for the past seven years, first as a part-time Lecturer in Strategic Management and Marketing, then as Assistant Professor and Postgraduate Director of the School of Communications at Universidad del Desarrollo in Chile. Today he is a PhD candidate in Entrepreneurship at the Centre for Knowledge, Innovation, Technology and Enterprise from Newcastle University Business School.

Before entering academia, he worked for four years developing and implementing continuous improvement processes for manufacturing companies, and since 2008, has been working as a consulting partner at ThinkX, providing training and consultancy in creativity and innovation management.

His PhD research focuses on sustainability entrepreneurship, specifically the process of development of sustainability-oriented venture opportunities. He believes this stream of research represents not only one of the most interesting topics within the field of entrepreneurship, but also a key element to understand how can we walk straight to a more sustainable society.

Although his current research area focuses on a single topic, his research and teaching interests range widely, from entrepreneurship in general to innovation, sustainability and socio-technical change. Within these fields, he has conducted research on social and sustainable entrepreneurship; moral reasoning and ethical decision-making; innovation networks, development and diffusion of sustainable technologies; and entrepreneurship, social innovation and regional development.
